Turtle season is quickly approaching on the Nature Island, and we look forward to another exciting term! 2016 was a record-breaking year as we welcomed numerous leatherback, hawksbill and green sea turtles to our beach.

Witnessing a mother nest or helping a hatchling head out to sea is unique wildlife experience you’ll cherish for a lifetime. This year, you can help forecast turtle activity! Answer the questions below to share your predictions:

  • Which type of turtle will nest first?
  • On what date will we welcome the season’s first gentle giant?
  • How many total nests will there will be this season?
  • How many leatherbacks, hawksbill and green sea turtles will appear on our beach this season?
