Earth Day 2016 at Rosalie Bay Resort

Earth Day 2016Friday, April 22 is Earth Day, and we’re gearing up for a celebration of our environmental treasures! For its 46th year, the world will join forces to celebrate the Earth’s natural beauty and valuable resources.

While Earth Day is one of our favorite days of the year, we understand it’s more than a single event—it’s a commitment. Each and every day at our resort, we work to protect the planet and create a sustainable future.

Trees for the Earth

The theme for Earth Day 2016 is “Trees for the Earth.” Trees help combat climate change, provide clean air and offer long-term environmental sustainability. Our neighbors and guests are invited to help us plant new trees on our property.

Clean Up

The community is also invited to assist with our two-hour area clean up, beginning at 10 a.m on Saturday, April 23. We’ll be picking up litter along the Rosalie River, our Nature Trail, and our black sand beach.

A clear beach also facilitates a comfortable place for sea turtles to nest, and we take pride keeping our community clean!

Guests are invited to participate and can contact us for more information or sign up at the front desk. Happy Earth Day!
