Recipe: Oatmeal with a Tropical Twist

Oatmeal offers a healthy breakfast option, and at Rosalie Bay, we’ve enhanced this fiber-filled meal with a tropical twist: pineapple. Pineapple prospers in Dominica and is filled with magnesium and Vitamin C, offering a sweet flavor and many nutrients.

Enjoy this meal at Zamaan before a day of hiking or create from the convenience of home with this recipe.

Pineapple

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup oats
  • ½ cup chopped pineapple
  • 1 tbsp fresh mint
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp 1% milk

Directions

In a medium saucepan, bring 1 ½ cups water to a boil. Stir in oats and reduce heat to a simmer, stirring frequently. The oatmeal will begin to absorb the water and thicken. Top with the pineapple, fresh mint and cinnamon. Drizzle with the milk, and enjoy!
