When the Fashion team at Fabulous Magazine in the UK “set off in search of beautiful backdrops for Spring/Summer ’13 fashion spreads,” they “found the untouched wonder of Dominica – a volcanic island just off Barbados” and Rosalie Bay Resort to be the perfect spot!
The six-member team, including models, photographer, fashion editor and assistants, traveled from London to the Nature Island in March for a busy week of scouting and shooting.
On the magazine’s blog, Fashion Editor Lynne Mckenna gives behind-the-scenes details and photos of their week in Dominica. The team traveled to our capital Roseau, climbed down steep cliffs – with heavy equipment – to shoot along a volcanic rock beach, took a swim at the famous Emerald Pool and spent time in the gardens, pool and black sand beach at Rosalie Bay.
The team fell in love with Dominica and Rosalie Bay. On the blog, Lynne comments, “…I still can’t believe it’s come to an end and how much we had all achieved, six beautiful shoots, seven amazing days of exploring and one of the best experiences I can look back on.”
We truly enjoyed hosting the team from Fabulous Magazine and are loving the fashion spreads showcasing our beautiful island home. A sample of one of the photos (you may recognize the lattice work of our Zamaan restaurant) is at left.
