Rosalie Bay Resort Celebrates Earth Day 2017

Rosalie Bay Resort Celebrates Earth DaySaturday, April 22 is Earth Day! We are joining this global celebration to protect Dominica’s beautiful landscape and precious environment.

Guests, island visitors and locals are invited to participate in our clean-up event this Saturday.

  • River Blessing at Rosalie Bay Resort’s Gazebo (10 am): To begin the day, we will bless the river and provide a brief overview of the day’s projects and goals.
  • Community Clean Up (11 am – 1 pm): Break out into small groups to clean the banks of the river and surrounding area.
  • Commencement (1 pm): The resort will provide light snacks and local juice as a thank you to our volunteers. Earth Day participants can stay to swim, enjoy local sites or take advantage of special discounts at Gló Spa and Zaaman Restaurant.
  • Turtle Talk & Tour (8 pm): Turtle experts will give an overview of endangered species, ongoing conservation efforts and the nesting/excavation/hatching process. You may even have the opportunity to welcome a turtle to the beach!

Environmental & Climate Literacy

Education is the foundation for progress! The international theme for the 47th celebration of Earth Day is Environmental & Climate Literacy. At Rosalie Bay, we are delivering short presentations to help raise awareness about the cause and effects of everyday actions.

Join the Celebration

Although protecting the Earth and its natural resources is an ongoing commitment, this weekend is a perfect opportunity to take advantage of our island’s natural beauty while being stewards of our Earth!

This event will be led by our Activities Coordinator Judy Joyce. For more information please call the resort directly at (767) 446-1010 or email Judy.
