Wellness Wednesday: Lime

Weekly tips to bring island-inspired wellness into your everyday life from the wellness and spa team at Rosalie Bay Resort, Dominica. Post written by Spa and Wellness Coordinator Laura Lund.

Limes are a sour citrus fruit that grow in many parts of the world, including right here in our organic garden.

While you may be familiar with its taste, you may not know about all of the many health benefits of limes. The fruit is loaded with the powerful antioxidant vitamin C. It contains other antioxidants as well, which are packed with antibacterial and anti-cancer properties.

So how does one maximize the benefits that limes have to offer?

  • Add half a lime to your water to help clean your digestive track
  • Try a lime squash at our Zamaan Restaurant for a refreshing beverage
  • Lay back and enjoy a facial at our spa

We use limes in our Feed Your Skin Facial for their antibacterial benefits. In addition, their divine scent, brightening benefits, deep cleansing and pore shrinking ability make this citrus fruit a perfect addition to any spa treatment.

What is your favorite way to use lime?
