The most common species found off the coast of Dominica is the Sperm Whale. In fact, Dominica is the only country in the world where this type of whale resides year round.
Although the sperm whales are here throughout the year, peak whale watching season on Dominica is from November through March when the chances of whale sightings are at an all-time high of 90%. Popular points on island for spotting the deep diving animals include Scotts Head, Roseau, Layou and Point Round.
